Accessibility Statement

What we have built into this website so it works for everyone, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when we have got something wrong.

Effective August 10, 2026 Last updated August 10, 2026 Xelvon Tax Advisors LLC

Our commitment

Xelvon Tax Advisors LLC is a fully remote firm. There is no office you can walk into, so this website, our phone line, our email and our secure client portal are the whole of how we meet you. If any of those are hard to use, you are not inconvenienced — you are shut out of the service.

Working with us should be usable by people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader or magnification, rely on speech recognition, need larger text or stronger contrast, or are sensitive to motion. This statement sets out what we have built, what we know is imperfect, and how to get help. It is meant to be honest rather than reassuring.

Our conformance target

We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA — the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium, the level regulators and courts most often reference.

In plain terms, that means content you can take in whether you read it, hear it or feel it on a braille display; controls you can drive by keyboard alone; pages that behave predictably and say how to fix a form error rather than just rejecting you; and code assistive technology can interpret reliably.

What we do not claim. No outside organisation has evaluated or certified this website's accessibility. We therefore do not call this site "ADA compliant", "WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformant" or "fully accessible" — conformance is a target we work toward and measure ourselves against. The Department of Justice's Guidance on Web Accessibility and the ADA states that it has no regulation setting detailed web accessibility standards for private businesses.

Measures built into this website

These are build decisions we test for:

  • Semantic landmarks — header, navigation, main content, footer — so screen reader users can jump to a region.
  • A skip-to-content link as the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation and forms, with a focus indicator you can see wherever it lands.
  • Labelled forms. Every input has a label programmatically associated with it, and errors are announced to screen readers and identified in text.
  • Colour contrast of 4.5:1 or better for body text, and 3:1 or better for large text, interface components and meaningful graphics.
  • Text that reflows down to a 320 pixel wide viewport, so you never scroll sideways to read a line.
  • Nothing conveyed by colour alone — text or an icon always carries the meaning too.
  • Reduced motion respected when your system asks for it, suppressing non-essential animation.
  • Text resizable to 200% without content disappearing, overlapping or becoming unusable.
  • Descriptive link text that still makes sense read out of context.
  • Alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alternative text on decorative ones so screen readers skip them.
  • A visible, descriptive page title, exactly one main heading per page, and headings nested in order.
  • Real header cells in data tables, so a screen reader announces which row and column a figure belongs to.

Known limitations

  • Third-party components. Our secure client portal and payment processor are built and operated by other companies. We do not control their code and cannot guarantee they conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
  • PDF documents. Engagement letters, consent forms and completed returns arrive as PDFs, some produced by software we do not control, so tagging and reading order may be imperfect.
  • Older material. Reference articles added over time may not all meet the standard we now hold ourselves to. We fix them as we find them.

A limitation is never your problem to solve. If any part of this site, the portal, a payment page or a document is a barrier, contact us and we will work around it by phone, email or post, at no extra charge and with no delay to your filing. We will also supply any document in an alternative format on request: plain text, large print, or read aloud to you.

How we handle feedback

Tell us. The page address and a line about what went wrong are enough to start. Email accessibility@xelvontax.com or call (435) 341-4014, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

  • We acknowledge every report within 2 business days.
  • We aim to fix the problem, or give you a working accessible alternative, within 10 business days.
  • If it will take longer — usually when the fault sits in a third-party system — we will say why, give a date, and make sure you have another way to get it done meanwhile.

Other ways to work with us

You never have to use this website to become or remain a client. Being fully remote, we can run an entire engagement without it.

  • We can take your information, answer questions and walk you through a return entirely by phone.
  • We can send and receive documents by post instead of through the portal, including paper copies of your completed return.
  • We can hold a video call with captions, or include a family member, carer or representative you nominate.
  • If the online signature step is a barrier, we can arrange a handwritten signature on the e-file authorisation form instead. That is a permitted alternative and does not change how your return is filed.

We will never ask you to email a Social Security number, a bank account number or a photograph of a tax document. If the portal does not work for you, we will use post or the phone instead — see security and how it works.

Assistive technology compatibility

The site is built to standard HTML so it works with the assistive technology you already use: screen readers, magnification, browser and system zoom, speech recognition, high-contrast and dark display modes, custom stylesheets, and keyboard-only operation.

We cannot test every combination of browser, device and assistive technology. If yours runs into trouble, tell us what you use and we will reproduce it if we can. We use no accessibility overlay or widget — we would rather fix the underlying pages.

How we assessed this site

Our assessment is a self-evaluation, carried out by us using three methods together:

  1. Automated tooling across the page templates, catching machine-detectable faults such as missing alternative text, unlabelled fields, contrast failures and broken heading order.
  2. Manual keyboard testing of every page, menu, form and control, checking focus order, focus visibility and that nothing traps focus.
  3. Manual screen-reader testing of the main journeys through the site, including the contact and quote request forms.

Automated tools catch only a fraction of real problems, so the manual testing matters more. No independent third-party evaluation of this website has been performed, and we hold no accessibility certification for it. If that changes, we will say so here.

Preparation date and review

This statement was prepared on August 10, 2026 and describes the website as it stood then. We review it at least once a year, and sooner whenever we redesign a page template, change the portal or payment processor, or learn something here is no longer accurate.

Formal complaints

If you have raised a problem and are not satisfied with our answer, escalate it. Email hello@xelvontax.com with "Accessibility complaint" in the subject line, or call (435) 341-4014. Complaints are handled by Joseph Edwin Fox, Managing Member, who will respond in writing within 15 business days, setting out what we found, what we will change, and by when. We have no public office, so please complain by email; if you need to send paper, call us for a mailing address. Complaining costs you nothing and changes nothing about your engagement.

You may also go outside the firm. The Department of Justice Civil Rights Division accepts reports at civilrights.justice.gov/report, and its ADA Information Line is 800-514-0301 (voice) or 1-833-610-1264 (TTY); filing guidance is at ada.gov/file-a-complaint. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under federal or state law.
